ABOUT US

This business was started towards the beginning of 2017 with the goal in mind to raise money for the refugee crisis that is greatly impacting our world today. Zumala in Arabic translates to fellowship. In Matthew 25: 25-26, we are called to feed those who are hungry, give drink to those who are thirsty, and clothe those who need to be clothed. We are called to create fellowship with those who are strangers to us.

Over 60 million people are displaced, forced to flee their homes due to conflict in countries such as Syria, Mosul, Iraq, South Sudan, and many others. 24 million of these are refugees, and over half of these are under the age of 18. The money raised through purchases on Zumala will be donated to refugees through World Vision to aid in food, shelter, emergency supplies, medicine, and safe places for kids to learn and play. The proceeds from each item purchased through Zumala will go straight to the World Vision Refugee Crisis fund. Each item is lovingly hand crafted in the United States.
